Today is the day Nichola ate too much soup.
For all those who have felt the pain of eating too much food, you will know the incredible pain it causes.
I have most unfortunately done this to my self. I hurt, I hurt bad... no more soup for a long time.

I'm sure there are a lot of people in my friends list who either don't use there Lj anymore or aren't interested in me. This is why I am doing a Friends Cut.

Please comment on this page if you want to hang around and find out whats been going on. If you don't comment I will remove you, but I won't be offended, there's no hard feelings.

Nick xx

Yes I am back. I never planned on having a brake from Lj and I constantly check all my friends posts.
Now I feel it is the right time to return.

In other news:
A man cast a stone that skipped on water 51 times, shattering the old world record of 40.
Russell Byars throw the stone on July 19th. The Guinness World Records experts analyzed the film and checked the concentric circles in the water by each skim. Crazy. I can't skip a stone once.

"Afternoon Nichola
You most certainly will receive feedback for your entry - all the girls will be sent a copy of the judging results in due course. We need to finish off the sections that are still to be judged, and once the show finishes we send everything out.
Your work was beautiful, but as you know there were several entrants and as I am not a judge I cannot explain why you did not place.
Thanking you
Karen Hawkins"

This year was my 3rd time entering the Protea competition at the Royal Show.
I was pretty confident that I would win something for a number of reasons, mainly because my piece was really good. But I didn't. All that work for nothing.

Well I'm back from the 6 weeks around Europe. But unfortunately for some, I am sick of telling everyone what happened on the trip, I still haven't had the time I need to process it all - I feel slightly traumatized because it was all such a new experience for me.

For now I will say these things:
- Steve is soo funny and made Daev and I laugh though the 2 1/2 weeks together.
- Daev and I are better then ever now knowing that we can be together for 6 weeks day in day out and still be completely in love, in fact I would say, even more in love (if that where possible!)
- Naomi is awesome, who else would brake out into a song when ever, or sing me wonderful songs while strumming the guitar in a beautiful park in Spain.
- Perth has the best food, air, water, traffic, space, hygiene and beaches
- Every building in Europe is beautiful and there is a great story behind everything.

Here are photos of London and Berlin. The rest will come later, when I have the time.

I am half way though my first holiday adventuring out of the large country we like to call Australia.

First week:
This was spend in London with Daev and Laura Courtney. We were lucky to have a very genorouice friend (Laura Firman) who kindly let all us three stay in her 2 bedroom appartment with her flatmate Ad. Her home was in East London which gave us a great taste of the 'real London' - as aposed to the tourist side.
Meeting my sister (Krystelle) and brother-in-law's (Brent) one day old baby was my high light of this trip! Oliver was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I saw them 6 out of the 7 days I was there and they were doing really well with there first.
Daev and I sawe alot of famous and inpriring artworks, I traveled to Portsmith with Laura Firman (which was beautiful) and we all went to the markets in Notting Hill and another place I don't remember the name of - but there were real punks there!

Second Week:
The first 2 days Daev and I spend together in Berlin. Berlin was awesome! so many good little things about Berlin - especialy the history of the area. Daev and I got to stand on Hitlers grave.
Just before we left Berlin I got a tattoo, it simbolises the relationship with me and my brothers and sister - 4 hearts on my left ankel.
Daev and I took the night train from Berlin to Paris where we met up with Steve.
None of us where taken by Paris, so we disided to leave a little early - don't get me wrong though, the Art was great! We saw loads of Art!
The three of us made an early trip to Nimes. We were instantly taken back by its natural beauty.
The hostel we stay at was wonderful! and we did tourist business there - the Arena was the best, with all its history on the Gladiators etc.

Third week:
From Nimes we took the train to Nice. Imidiatly shocked by the amount of hotels and tourists everwhere we were a little worried, But our hostel wasn't very far from the Old Nice which was great. It was cold and rained for the first time while we where there.
Taking a 8 hour crappy train from Nice to Venice was not fun, but we made it only about 1 1/2 hours late.
Venice is really unlike anything else in the world - a city in water. It is beautiful here, the food is great - but almost everything here is expencive. We all lit a candle today in Saint Stefen's Chuch for our familys :)

Today the three of us are taking the train to Florence.

- I miss Ollie (Oliver), Krystellle, Brent, Courntey and Firman
- I am spending alot of money on just living - Paris was the most expencive place (I spent $8 on a 300ml coke!)
- Daev, Steve and I are all having the best time together
- I miss Auslan

My sister Krystelle and brother-in-law Brent had their first baby weighing 7.2lb 9:55pm yesterday (14/4/07).

This make me an Aunty, my parent’s grandparents, and my Grandma (who is 97) a great-grandma!

Welcome to the world Oliver Devon Graham!

(Or as we have all been calling you – Jelly Bean)

I will meet my nephew tomorrow in London!

Good day to you all.

I have started some serious painting recently, hoping to sell them for a very reasonable price to raise my much-needed funds for my trip to Europe in 7 weeks.

If you would like a painting similar to these two but different colours or size please just ask. I will do it for you!

As the first exhibition is in 2 weeks I will be quite famous and strongly recommend you invest in my art :)

The paintings shown are $20 each and are both around an A4 size (30 - 40cm).

Love you all and thanks

Nichola
